Hee, I like to think I haven't completely lost my touch, and strong endings are still one of the most characteristic features of my one-shots... XD To me, the point of the story is largely in the way it ends, sometimes - with certain stories - even more so than in how it gets to that end. Vaguely interesting ideas just good enough to keep you reading are all forgiven if the ending smacks the reader upside the head (in a good way, obviously). The other way around, not so much.
